Bruny Beach House, Bruny Island

Escape to the beauty and peace of our light-filled, self-contained beach house on Tasmania’s stunning Bruny Island, one of Australia’s best-kept secrets.

Our seaside retreat is located on the north of Bruny, at Dennes Point, and is only 30 metres from high tide on the long, beautiful Nebraska Beach.

Wake up to striking sea and mountain views, breathing in the pristine air –– then head out and enjoy the island’s limitless attractions, from fishing, swimming and boating, to the island’s famed gourmet food trail, to sublime walks through Bruny’s spectacular, varied terrain.

More things to do

Back at the house, while away the evenings by the wood fire, watching the sun set over the imposing mountains of Tasmania’s east coast and the D’entrecasteau Channel.

The kitchen contains a convection microwave oven, 4 burner electric stovetop and is fully equipped with pots, fry-pans, condiments, teas and all you need to whip up a storm in the kitchen. We also provide a Weber BBQ on the front deck, perfect for a seafood feast or even a roast.

We have recently changed the bedding configuration in the house. We have 2 bedrooms with a Queen bed in the main room and a double and single bed in the second bedroom.

Bruny Beach House comfortably caters for up to four people, and is available year round.

Which is just as well: Bruny is a captivating destination all year round, as magnificent in winter as it is in the warmer months. Indeed, it’s always a good time to visit Bruny.

But don’t just take our word for it: read what our guests have had to say about our beach house and the island, and if you need more convincing, feast your eyes on our full gallery of images of the island.

This island is magical. So glad we chose this N. Island to stay, away from the bustle and bus tours of South. Loved this house and decor. Cafe is superb as is the Art Gallery. We've seen fairy penguins, quolls, echidnas as well as the usual wallabies. Thank you so much.
P.S. Bob appreciated the bird list - saw many of them!
